She says she can't drive for long periods of time and I can't stop thinking a comfier car might help a bit, she got an armored Dodge Durango not 3 months ago and she says the car is fine, prior to that she drove an Evoque. Would a Range Rover or something a bit more refined with better seats and massaging and/or softer like my C5 help her?

Get her a restored DS. They say it's like driving a cloud.

Jaguar XJs have really good seats, they move in so many different ways. Would recommend. Evoque seats are not as comfortable as a full fledged Range Rover, a little bit more towards the sporty side in the Evoque.
One of the biggest things that effects comfort is ride quality of the suspension and such.
Source: I work at Jaguar/Land Rover and drive them all day.

Did she have back pain before she got the Durango?

Have you considered some sort of back support? It's a lot cheaper.

The seats and, perhaps more crucially, driving position would make a huge a difference. As long as the suspension isn't hard or 'sporty' then it wouldn't make too much difference unless your roads are particularly awful.
As you well know, Le grande super autocool de Francais are well known for their excellent suspension, but as for seating position and a seat comfort it will just be a matter of trying whatever she can. Do they offer extended test drives in Brazil for anything you think is fit for her?

No, she never complained before.

Pushing an armored Range Rover when it breaks is never good for your back.

As others have said I think it's more about the seats and seatingposition than the ride. Best would be to testsit a few vehicles. If possible for a longer time obviously.
Should be easy to get in and out of aswell but you have that part covered with the Durango already.

This might be difficult to reconcile with the climate, but has she tried using heated seats? Heat can help a lot to relax the muscles and relieve pain.

Can she get an s or e guard model? I remember seeing a couple used while I was in Europe and they weren't too much. The air suspension is amazing, and Mercedes multi contour seats are the best. They also have a massage feature and a million different adjustments. Also have her see a chiropractor, they can do some serious help.

do they have Volvos where you live?

Yes they do

An Oppo member I know has a brother who has an Evoque, when I asked him about it he said it rides extremely hard, it's more like a car than a proper Range Rover.

I'd suggest an XC60 or XC90. The seats are super supportive.

Rolls Royce Ghost.

It's more likely to be driving position than the car itself. But I guess it's always possible the seat just doesn't fit her.

Armored? What!! If so, where can I find one of these!

222 S-class with hot stone massage multi contour seats and magic body control. Actually most any higher line vehicle should work as long as it has a bunch of adjustments. Don't forget about steering column adjustment as that plays a large role in seating position and comfort. Avoid smaller sporty things like the Evoque.

I don't think a 222 is something she can afford, especially here. The previous gen is something we can consider, a good armored S500 with less than 30k miles isn't hard to find. How is the 221 is the comfort department?

I was looking at some W221 S500 with aftermarket armoring, do you think it will help?

They might, I need to check some of the higher end used car dealers.

We only got the new XJ's here and that is something out of her price range, a 2011 Rangie is something we can consider.

She has one, it doesn't help much

You don't push it, you sit inside it until help arrives.

I know, she quite enjoyed that car though, scared me shitless going 130.

The Durango has those, but they are only useful during winter and something winters is no cold at all.

I figured. Not many people can afford a new S-class. 221's are super comfortable as well. Crazy amounts of adjustments with the seats, massage, heat, vented. Still an S-class.

My w221 is the most comfortable thing ever. Make sure it doesn't have the amg package with the lower profile wheels. Also massage seats were optional, those are a must as they include a million more adjustments and softer headrest. I haven't ridden one with abc except in s63 form, but if you can find one to test drive to compare to it might give a better ride. If it doesn't help nothing else will to be honest with you.
